Nessco raises 5K in aid of Northsounds Cash for Kids
Nessco recently held their annual golf event in aid of Cash for Kids.
The event which took place at Newmachar Golf Club on the championship Hawkshill course was held on Friday 11th September 2009 and was sponsored by Nessco as part of its ongoing support for Cash for Kids.
On arrival at Newmachar the teams were treated to tea/coffee and some bacon rolls before they took to the fairways followed by a 2 course dinner after their round of golf.
The event included the usual challenges associated with any golf day such as the ‘longest drive’ and ‘nearest the pin’. A hole in one was secured by a member of the Northsound team on the 6th Tee, this was celebrated with a round of Whiskey.
Cash for Kids Charity Manager, Alastair Brookes said, "The money raised at the golf day will go a long way towards helping local children who need a helping hand in life. We were delighted so many people attended the NESSCO Golf Day and would like to thank NESSCO for their continued support for this great cause. I would also offer our sincere thanks to all who took part and helped to make the day the success that it was."
