Nessco's order book continues to grow

Nessco, has had a successful Q1 2009, with key awards being made for their services from international clients.

This has resulted in a secure order book for the foreseeable future and the addition of 20 new staff members to the Aberdeen operation.

Nessco were successful with two awards against international competition and restricted opportunities due to the current down turn. It has received orders for the telecoms system integration package for Woodside’s North Rankin B Platform from EOS JV – a Joint Venture between Worley Parsons and KBR for the Australian North Western shelf, and from Iranian Engineering Contractor, Sepanir for South Pars trains 15 and 16 for onshore Iran.

Both packages are to be integrated at their Westhill facility and delivered within the year. These projects cover the Engineering, Procurement, Build and Installation of the Telecoms Systems which include: Security, VHF Marine, UHF trunked radio and paging, Satellite, Radar, Access control, PABX, PA/GA, LAN, CCTV and Fibre Optic networks.

This has resulted in the addition of new staff to meet the demand, Ian McPherson, Sales Director for the Oil and Gas Division said “The award of these orders means that we are now in a strong position to deliver our forecasts for 2009/2010, in addition we have taken this opportunity in the current downturn to strengthen the organisation with additional key personnel. Our objective is to position Nessco as a ‘value added systems integrator’ by developing relationships at the early stages of FEED and design. We have a healthy pipeline of opportunity going forward and are in a strong position to take advantage of any improvement in market conditions’.
