Proposals Team Leader
We currently have a requirement for a Proposals Team Leader within Nessco to lead the Proposals function, in the development and sale of large systems integration and complex integrated satellite solutions.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Co-ordinate and manage the provision of the proposals team resource to deliver high quality tender responses on time for Systems Integration and other complex opportunities, while obtaining a profitable contract outcome for NesscoInvsat.
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager, Sales and Account Managers, assessing and selecting tenders to be responded to by NesscoInvsat.
- Project managing bid response processes, ensuring all financial, technical and commercial aspects of the tender are fully appraised and approved at the appropriate expenditure level.
- Manage sub-vendors/ supply chains to ensure procurement for projects is achieved at the best possible price.
- Develop and co-ordinate standard approaches to pricing of product and service offerings.
- Lead the proposals team, allocate work, motivate and support to allow achievement of objectives and targets, provide regular feedback on team performance.
- Organise proposals team meetings, carry out regular 1:1’s, manage personal development and appraisal processes for all direct reports, in line with departmental and company processes.
- Develop extensive knowledge, both personally and within the team, of relevant specialist technical areas, NesscoInvsat portfolio of products and services and new/potential products and services that can be sold, to provide cost effective relationships with nominated accounts, and improve NesscoInvsat’s ability to win and retain business.
- Ensure team targets are achieved.
- Involved in commercial negotiations with clients, pricing and discounts.

- Degree level or equivalent
- Radio communications
- Data networks
- Fibre optic networking and applications
- PABX, PA, CCTV, Entertainment, GMDSS Systems
- Satellite based communications solutions
- Previous team management or project management experience
