Project Engineer (Aberdeen)

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to provide project engineering and management on a wide range of turnkey Telecoms projects in our Systems Integration department.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The design, procurement, build, testing, installation and commissioning of telecoms systems.
    Provide accurate, detailed, project design drawings and documents.
  • To ensure the successful delivery of each project within timescale and to budget ensuring that all agreed customer requirements are met.
  • To provide effective management of all the project's stakeholders during the Project lifecycle.
  • Liaison with customers, suppliers and third parties to ensure the smooth completion of projects.
  • Management of a virtual project team, supervising technicians and other engineers during the lifecycle of a project, making optimum use of the resource.
  • Support to the sales team in the preparation and presentation of bid responses.

DETAILED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in a relevant technical subject or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Telecoms systems such as: Radio communications, Data networks, Satellite, PABX, PA/GA, CCTV, Microwave, security and Entertainment systems.
  • Ability to read and translate technical specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all business levels.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry preferred.
  • Must possess excellent organisational and communication skills.

The role is based in our Aberdeen office and may require prolonged visits abroad for commissioning purposes.
